Emma Heitmann
Research areas
Emma grew up in Houston, TX and completed a B.S. degree at the University of Texas at Austin in Hydrogeology in 2016. She then spent a few years traveling and working for the National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management before coming to UW to pursue a PhD. In her research she applies cutting edge stable isotope geochemical tools such as clumped isotopes and triple oxygen isotopes to reconstruct paleo-environments to explore the effects of tectonics and climate on landscapes.
