Research areas

Bio: I was born and raised near the beautiful mountains of Minas Gerais, Brazil, which sparked my fascination with geosciences. In 2017, I moved to California and earned my bachelor’s degree in Geophysics from UC Berkeley in 2024. During my undergraduate studies, I worked on various projects involving fluvial geomorphology, soil liquefaction, and landslides. Now, I am pursuing a PhD in Earth and Space Sciences, focusing on the fluvial and hillslope geomorphology of the Eastern Himalayas. My research integrates fieldwork and numerical modeling to study the long-term impacts of natural hazards such as outburst floods and megafloods as the landscape evolves.
