Policy on Academic Faculty Teaching Buyout

It has been our policy in the past that teaching buyout must be at 100% for the quarter. In actuality, the proportion of teaching to research during an academic year quarter is 50/50. 50-66% buyout covers a replacement instructor. This especially affects faculty whose field research season is during the academic year.
